The Flyka v5 prototype got overloaded

For complete happiness we now need a radar, a couple of lidars and three cameras. Bolivar squealed under the load and refused to fly anywhere. So it's back to building another prototype — even bigger than the last one :)

We've decided to abandon the 3D-printed frame, since it turns out brittle and hard to repair.

And routing the wiring by hand is no fun either. This time we'll build the whole prototype as printed circuit boards reinforced with carbon.

Yes, it costs more, but it multiplies the strength and speeds up assembly! Many thanks to our partner Würth Elektronik for supplying the components!
